Folksy Friday ~Cosmetics/make up bags

Thank Folksy its Friday! For this week I wanted to show off the rest of the cosmetics bags found on Folksy, so here are my 3 volunteers who were willing to do that. Like bag making in general, cosmetic bags too come in all shapes and sizes ready for that personal preferance.

My first 2 are from Eva B Designs, starting off with a space saving roll out cosmetics bag very handy to pop into your luggage. Then a Retro Cotton make up bag. (dont forget, simply click on the pictures to be taken for further details and to take a look at what else is on offer in each shop)





Next from Nostalgia Knits a very handy make up brush roll



From Audrey's Cat, a 60s Patchwork Vintage fabric make up bag, and blue atomic vintage fabric bag.





Not forgetting the very first one from Bags of Swank by SimJaTa, the vintage swan cosmetic bag to match the tote bag also in Folksy shop.



I think all these costmetic/make up bags are superb, they look fantastic and are all reasonably priced, ideal treat for yourself or to give as a useful and attractive gift.

SimJaTa and Vintage Nature

I came across this wonderful vintage fabric last week, and it had my name on it. Well, actually it had my friends name on it who has a birthday next week, but being my usual useless self I didnt check the measurements and luck was on my side there was more fabric than I thought. So, this meant I could make an extra scarf and perhaps a couple of tote bags. Shown is the only scarf in this fabric for sale, I was rather happy with the results so I then went on to create the tote bag too.

Just to totally confuse things I have the tote bag on sale in Bags of Swank by SimJaTa (or at least it will be tomorrow) and the scarf is on sale at Special by SimJaTa.

Next I must crack on with some custom orders I have, my friend in Ireland has ordered 4 tote bags, and I have a music bag to create I am half way through for a lady at my dog training class, its to put her music in so she can put it with her instument without scratches. So I have made it from notes fabric, felt sides and a velvet lining, hoping to have that finished by Wednesday though slow going just now with yet another eye infection which is slowing me down somewhat.

Took some time out yesterday and visited Mere Sands to see how the goods were going there, more requests to be getting on with and sales going well. Of course all this took around 3 hours to achieve as we just had to walk around and visit the birds and search for red squirrels while we were there. Alas no squirrels, though it was rather busy so probably hiding, we intend to take some time off during the week at some point to visit when its a bit quieter. The Kingfisher decided not to make another appearance whilst we were there either.

Weather is turning a bit now, been out tracking with Alfie tonight and that wind is getting rather bitter, good job I have a nice collection of scarves to keep me warm.

Hello from Alfie and week update

Hello from Alfie, this is one of his portrait shots taken a few weeks back. Alfie is busy training for the big game fair, as our club are competing against Battersea Dogs. The boy is doing well, just a shame he cant master distance stays, Labradors just want to be with you so not so good at that one.

Apologies for lack of blogs, I am struggling with what on earth to witter on about and spent the week searching for new novelty fabric idea's, I finally have it - vintage fabrics on way for my features, and many a shop to charity place for majority, the farm shop have almost sold out and want more stock, I have a custom order to start, almost done the wildlife shop order, then onto the sheep bags (hopefully), also need to get some fresh items in the Folksy shop was doing well when I relisted each day, gone a bit quiet again now.

Of course most of all I need more hours in the day and the ability to cope on less sleep. It might be raining at long last but still warm, especially at night. Dogs are getting fed up of early walks and starting to wake up and be pests in the afternoon when I am trying to work.

Oh dear, after reading Alison's far more interesting post maybe I should just shut up till I have something far more interesting to witter on about. STill you can always look at Alfie's cute picture, or my Folksy Shop:)
